Amazon Fire TV
All models of the Amazon Fire TV are suitable for streaming Philo. The Fire TV is great for watching a lot of different shows, including Amazon exclusives, but you’re not just limited to Amazon, you can enjoy all of the Philo channels, which includes a huge range of news, music, reality TV, documentaries and entertainment in one place.
Apple TV
If you are heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem then you probably cast a lot of your media to an Apple TV already. Philo is compatible with Apple TVs of the fourth generation or newer.
Android TV
Android TVs of the 5.0 generation or newer, that are certified by Google, can be used as streaming devices for Philo. Devices that are not certified by Google are not officially supported. Some may work, but it is not guaranteed. Choose a compatible device for best results.
Roku
All current Roku models are supported.
You can also use Philo on your Windows PC, Mac, modern Android phones (Android 5.0 or newer), iOS mobile devices, and Amazon’s Fire tablets. At the moment, Xbox and Playstation streaming, and Chromecast, are not supported, but that may well change.
Since Philo is compatible with Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, it is potentially possible that you could stream Philo using other operating systems and even other devices if you have some technical knowledge. You can access those channels from whatever device you are logged in to, so you will be able to enjoy all of that content at home, in hotel rooms, on your laptop, on the bus, or wherever you wish.
Do note that the quality of the stream will depend on the quality of your connection. If you are accessing the stream via a computer and then casting it over WiFi to another device there could be some lag or degradation depending on what other people in the household or building are doing.
The ideal option would be to use a Fire Stick or some other device connected directly to your big-screen TV, so that you get the best possible connection quality and the best possible. Remember that you aren’t limited to just one streaming service on your device so you can still access Hulu, Netflix or the other services if you want to reach them for the exclusive content that they have.
